The name of Cancun, Mexico has become synonymous with Spring Break and over indulgent partying and drinking. But the successful growth of the area and proliferation of family hotels and resorts has created a vacation destination that isn’t just a niche industry anymore. Vacationers of all tastes can find many fun and exciting activities to do in this tropical paradise.

Cancun is located on the western coast of Mexico and more specifically on the Yucatan peninsula. There are fourteen miles of white sand beaches that make up the beachfront of Cancun on the waters of the Caribbean Sea. The marine life near Cancun is quite diverse among the coral reefs that are just offshore and they can offer countless adventures viewing vividly colored fish and the corals themselves. Snorkeling and scuba diving are two of the most popular water sports to indulge in while you are in Cancun. The sparkling Caribbean waters offer some of the most beautiful underwater views. The network of lagoons in the area also offers a biodiversity of creatures, some of which you may have never heard of before.

Not far away are a plethora of archeological sites of Mayan culture that have become famous the world over. Places like Chichen Itza and Tulum provide the echoes of this ancient civilization that thrived hundreds of years before the Conquistadors arrived in the New World. While experiencing the crazy, party all night atmosphere of Cancun’s clubs it may be hard to believe that these sights exist so close. But, there are many diverse tours that can escort you to visit these wonders and treat you to an experience that will certainly leave you impressed with the innovations developed by the Mayan people.

All of them have famous pedigrees by being designed by some of the world’s most famous names in course design, such as Nicklaus, Jones, Norman, and Dye. Especially thrilling are some of the courses built around some of the Mayan ruins, but whichever one you choose to tee off on, all of them have the most modern conveniences and features that one would expect from any private club in the United States.

Whether you are looking for a party, craving fun in the sun, or just looking for adventure, chances are you can find it in Cancun, Mexico. And it isn’t mandatory that you have to experience it only during Spring Break.

Four Presidents and a Lady

When you think of the breath taking splendor that is the North American continent, it seems we will never stop being astounded by the beauty all around us in this phenomenal land that God has given us for our home. But every now and then as you re sightseeing in this magnificent land, you gaze upon something so breath taking, so inspiring and yet not entirely made by nature.

We have in diverse locations around our countryside some of the most phenomenal man made works of art that have ever been created. Small wonder that any vacation that sets out to see the wonders of our nation would have to include trips to see such amazing creations as these man made sights that our culture has produced.

Mount Rushmore in South Dakota is a perfect example of a magnificent sightseeing stop that combines the greatness of nature with the creativity, tenacity and artistic talent of mankind. In addition its a well crafted monument to the greatness of our leadership especially in the early years of the federation.

It is almost impossible stand and not be awed by these mountain sized tributes to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Some might say that we are participating in a bit of hero worship making such grand statues to our early presidents. To that I say, guilty as charged. And why should we not hold these men as the tremendous heroes that they were and still are? And Mount Rushmore only dramatically brings out our deep sense of gratitude and respect we have for these early presidents who put all on the line to make this country the great nation that it is.

The statue of liberty in the New York harbor is just the kind of fantastic man made sight that both makes its visitors go wow and inspires everyone who sees it because of what that statue stands for. Just like the monuments at Mount Rushmore, Lady Liberty, as she is called is also stunning for the striking physical beauty of the harbor and of Manhattan Island to her North.

As much as we sometimes have mixed feelings about the relationship between the French government and our own, this gift that the French gave to our nation when we were just becoming a real country of our own is such a beautiful reminder of the value and enduring friendships America has with the international community. But more than that, because so much of our citizenry came to this country with little more than a dream and the clothes on their backs, the Statue of Liberty is a dramatic statement that this country is the home of the brave, the land of the free and the place people come to know true liberty in a world where freedom and opportunity are often very scarce indeed.

But not all of the man made wonders you can take in when sightseeing all over America are statues. In a way, the city of Washington DC itself is one huge work of art. This is particularly easy to see when you watch video of shots of the city taken from a helicopter that shows the stunning view looking down the Washington Mall. The elegant and simple Washington monument stands proudly in the center surrounded buy the reflecting pool, the White House, Congress and the most amazing art museum campus in the world, the many buildings of the Smithsonian Institution. The beauty of Washington is so unstoppable that it could not even be contained to one building. Instead to really get a feel for this amazing artistic creation, you need lots of time to explore the nations capital on foot.

The man made wonders that are welcoming you as a visitor all over America are more evidence of how great this country really is. And because they all touch us so deeply because of the combination of the beauty of art and the wonderment of nature, they point to what makes America great too. And that is the glorious country God gave us to live in combined with the heart of a great people who are the nation called America.

The Sexy Side of Vegas Shows

If you’ve never been to Vegas or experienced one of the many Vegas shows that are available to behold, let me be the first to tell you: they are not created equal. People will choose to see shows for many different reasons and there is no right or wrong reason to see any Vegas show unless you are simply determined to hate it from the beginning. Even then you might find yourself to be either mildly or wildly surprised.

I would be remiss if I didn’t take the time to mention some of the wonderfully sexy shows that are prominent in Vegas at the moment. There are quite a few and will appeal to audiences on different levels and for different reasons, well some of them will at any rate while most of them offer universal appeal to certain members of the audience it is important to remember the statement I made earlier, not all shows are created equally and it doesn’t really matter how beautifully endowed the members of the cast are if the show has no wit, humor, drama, or interesting points about it.

Les Foiles Bergere is one of the best examples of a classic Vegas style show or at least my interpretation of what a Vegas style show should be. This show literally sizzles with its sex appeal and is a great show to kick off your stay in Vegas. You’ll be ready to roll the dice after seeing this show for sure. There are generally two shows offered. The 7:30 show is covered so that all ages can enjoy the show all others feature topless numbers and request that audience members be 16 and over. The show can be seen at 7:30 and 10:00 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Tuesday and Friday offer one show only at 8:30 and Sundays are dark. This is a can’t miss show and a real hit for the Tropicana Las Vegas.

If you want to go even more darkly erotic, John Stagliano’s Fashionistas is definitely the route you should take. This is a very erotic experience everything about this show simply sizzles. Not only is the choreography and costume design stellar, this show has some of the best music to be found in Vegas with songs by Evanescence, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, Lords of Acid, and Crystal Method.

La Femme, playing at the MGM Grand is a rather unique show, even for Vegas, in that it literally celebrates that artistry of the nude. The overall affect is a stunning visual display of light, color, sound, flesh, and dance. You must be 18 or older to attend this particular show and there is a dress code for the performances, which is business casual so come dressed appropriately. Shows are Wednesday through Monday at 8:00 and 10:30 pm. If you want to see the ultimate water cooler show, this one is definitely the show to see.

There are so many shows in Vegas that it would be virtually impossible to mention each and every one. These are each excellent examples of the sexiest shows that Vegas has to offer. Only you can decide what you are comfortable seeing and if you’re curious try one of the shows that offers an optional covered showing rather than making yourself uncomfortable or putting yourself in the position to be uncomfortable. The main purpose of going to Vegas is to enjoy yourself. Do what makes you happy.

San Diego Wild Animal Park

Aside from the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Wild
Animal Park is the best place in San Diego to see
animals. Over the spread of 1,800 acres, the animal
park gives animals the room they need to roam and
play. The animals here play just like they do in
the wild, which almost makes you feel as if you
are in their native of Africa and Asia.

Throughout the 30 year history of the animal park,
the Noah’s Ark symbol of endangered species has grown
to dozens upon dozens of animals. Now, every Arabian
Oryx found in the wild is the descendant stock from the
San Diego Wild Animal Park.

In the park, there are many different paths you can
take to visit the smaller animal exhibits. Although
the smaller animals are a sight to see, the main
thing to see is the hour long trip on the Bush Line
Railway. Along the railway, you’ll see animals that
you’d never get the chance of seeing anywhere else,
such as the white rhino and the rhinoceros.

If you plan to visit the park in the summer, it’s
always a good idea to visit early. On a normal summer
day, ten – fifteen thousand people will visit the
park. During the winter, the ratio is down as
normally 2,000 people will visit. Although it’s much
colder in the winter, the park is less frequent with
people looking to see the animals the park offers.

You can find the animal park 32 miles north of
Escondido in San Diego. The park is in a peaceful
area, which makes things a lot better for the animals
that live there.

When visiting in the summer, it’s a great idea to walk
a while, then take the railway. After you have took
the railway a bit, you can walk some more. It’s also
good to take plenty of sunscreen with you as well, as
summer at the park can get very hot. Water is great
as well, simply because the summer in California can
be a bit of a scorcher.

The San Diego Wild Animal Park is ran by the San Diego
Zoological Society. The society also runs the San
Diego Zoo, which is one of the most popular animal
parks in the entire world. With the park and the zoo,
the society does more than its part to bring the
best of seeing the animals to you.

The next time you are in San Diego or if you are
visiting for the first time, the Wild Animal Park is
a great place to visit. You can check out some truly
endangered species and learn more about the types of
animals that you’ll see in this once in a lifetime
opportunity.
